Cute as a Bug!

Happy Halloween! Mummy Daddy and I went over to our friends' house for Halloween. The babies got dressed up and the 'rents passed out the candy. (they ate a bit, too!) I dressed up as a butterfly. Don't I look cute? Mummy thinks the little hat with the antennae on it makes me look like an alien, but a cute alien! Also, I tried to eat the wings when I was posing for the pictures. They just look so sparkly and yummy! The time change from daylight savings back to standard time has messed up my sleep schedule a bit, so I took an extra long nap and stayed up later. Which was good because I got to enjoy all the other cute kids that came to the door for candy. In a few years, when I'm bigger, I will be able to go door to door and beg for my own candy all by myself! All in all, my first Halloween was wonderful. Thanks for stopping by!

Happily Ever After

Today was a very special day. It was Mummy and Daddy's wedding anniversary! Uncle Adam, Auntie Amber and Uncle Ken all came over to help celebrate. They ordered Chinese food, a lot of Chinese food!, and then everybody carved a pumpkin for Halloween tomorrow. Well, Auntie Amber used her teacher magic to paint a pumkin. It had bats and a ghost and a spooky clown face on it! Mummy carved a butterfly, Daddy made a scary face with firey eyes and Uncle Ken made a Dracula pumpkin! Everyone had a great time, and the day was a great success!

Can't Touch This....Tubby Time!

I love my bath! I just have to tell you all about my bathtime because it really is the best part of the day. I get so excited just walking into the bathroom where my tubby is, that I wiggle and giggle and shake all over! I love the nice warm water. I suck on the washcloth which is not only fun, but it feels good on my sore gums where my teeth are coming in. I also love to try and eat my bath toys. The fish are easier to munch on than Rubber Duckie, but Rubber Duckie floats better. The best part about tubby time is the splashing! I can really get the water moving, too. The best days are when Daddy gets as wet as me! Then I know it's been a good splashing day. Can you see where Daddy is squirting me in the ear with my green fish?

After I'm all clean, I get dried off and put on the warm robe Auntie Jaqui made for me. Then I play with the Stalker Baby for a few minutes and tell her how much fun I had splashing. After that it's time to put on my PJ's and go to bed. Night, night!

Shopaholic in McKinney

Today Mummy Daddy and I went shopping! We went to get pumpkins to carve for my first Halloween. It was a long trip and I was really tired by the end. As you can see, I fell asleep in my car seat while the 'rents were loading up the car. (Yet another fabulous outfit from Auntie Kendle!)

The Stalker Baby

Today I have proof of the Stalker Baby! All my life this other baby has been following me every where. I see her in mirrors, windows, TV screens (when the TV is turned off) and now I even found her in the oven door! Without fail everytime I turn around, there she is staring at me! I love playing with her. At first I wasn't sure if we would be friends. It was kind of creepy that she wore the same clothes and had all the same toys. We get along really well now. She does everything my way at exactly the right time! I laugh, she laughs. I clap my hands and she does too at the exact same time! It's great fun. The other day I went up to the mirror to kiss her and you know what? She kisssed me back! We used to play in the bath tub, too, but since I got too big for my small tubby and moved to the bigger one, she hasn't been able to take a bath with me. I miss splashing with her in the tubby, but I know she's close by because she's the Stalker Baby!

Toting the Tots

I would like to introduce you all to my friends from the Tote Your Tot exercise class Mummy and I joined. We meet every Monday and Wednesday for 2 hours. I get to sit in my stroller for the first part. We have a nice long walk and stop at special places so all the Mums can do their exercises. The last part, all the Mums do exercises on the ground and all the babies get to play in the grass! It's fun to meet other babies and learn about sharing and how to play nicely. It's fun for Mummy to meet new friends, too.

Today was pretty cool so Mummy bundled me up in the sweater and cap Auntie Kendle got for me. She also put on my nice warm Woolie slippers but they are still too big and kept falling off. I really like the long walks! I get to see all the trees and flowers and lots and lots of butterflies, just like in my bedroom! (Except these ones are real and they dont stay still at all.) I'm not so good at the sharing part right now, but I will get better!

Food for Thought

Wow! Who knew Mummy would go nuts over a tooth? She's completely lost it, I tell ya. Mummy no longer says, "Hello." Now every conversation starts with, "Keira has her first tooth!" And I do mean every conversation. As if one wasn't trouble enough, there's a second one coming in right next to the first. It's just barely visible under my gums, but it's there!

The appearance of my pearly whites has sparked a lively discussion regarding my nutritional requirements. Mummy wants to wait and see how I might USE my new choppers, so we're going to be trying more new "grown-up" foods.

I've been eating the mushy stuff for a while now. Let's see, started with peas, moved on to green beans, squash and sweet potatoes. Tried bananas, didn't work out so good, pears are good, apples so-so. So far my favorite mushy food is sweet potatoes. Mmm, mmm! I can finish a whole jar of them! Had sweet potatoes tonight, mixed up with turkey for the first time. Good stuff I tell ya! Mummy tried to sneak in some green beans and mashed potatoes at the end, but I was pretty full. Polished off a bit of pears for dessert though. Always room for dessert. (Especially Ammar's steamed pudding. One of these days I'll get some, but Mummy's told me all about it!) I'm working on the spoon action, and I'm starting to practice drinking out of a cup, too! Mummy started me out with some apple juice in something called a shot glass...made Daddy laugh!

Keira at the Pumpkin Patch

My first Halloween is right around the corner, and that means lots of pumpkins! Jack-O-Lanterns, pumpkin pie, pumpkin rolls, pumpkin scones, spiced pumpkin lattes (that one Mummy put in!) Mummy and I went to have lunch with Daddy at work today and on the way Mummy spotted this HUGE stack of pumpkins! According to Mummy we HAD to stop and have a picture, and here is the result!

Big News!

Stop the presses! Get everyone in here. I've got the scoop on the big story of the day! At 7 months and 10 days old, I, Keira Myrrhyn McCormick, have my first tooth! Mummy found it this morning. It's in front (of course) on the bottom, and a little to my left. Just a wee thing right now. More of a sharp edge peeking through my gums, but very soon it will be big enough for Daddy to take a picture and then I can show it to you all! Check back here in a few days for more on this exciting development!

Greetings and salutations!

Hello! I'm Keira. I'm not too sure what Mummy is up to on the computer here. I hope she doesn't break anything! You know how it is...she gets quiet and that's when I know she's up to something. Oh well, we can always call Uncle Ken to fix it.

Ah, I see now. A daily journal of my adventures as I try to take over the world. Wait a minute...she's going to reveal all my secrect weapons! My adorable smile I use to hypnotize any adults within range! My deadly Baby Death Grip Tractor Beam arms! Especially my WMD! The Ear Splitting Shriek! I'm not so sure about this. Once the grown ups know about my plans, my weapons will be less effective.

Oh well, it will be a great way to keep all my admiring fans (ahem: read grandparents) satisfied. At least until I get my own cable channel "All Keira, all the time!" That's all for now, I must go think of a new way to be even cuter! (As if!)
