Christmas Morning

I woke Mummy and Daddy up early on Christmas morning. Not because I was excited or really knew what was so special about the day, but just because I felt like getting up early! We opened a few presents, I played in the ribbons and bows, and then we got ready for church. I got to wear my new red plaid dress to church. I'll have to remind Mummy to get a picture of it. It has pretty black velvet bows on it and black velvet trim. Quite lovely if I may say so!

After church we came home, opened the rest of our presents then had lunch and a nice long nap before heading over to Auntie Kendle's for Christmas dinner. I got to taste a crown roast and scalloped potatoes named after my daddy (Tim's Potatoes) and I even tried some stuffing. The potatoes were my favorite though. After dinner we opened some more presents. I shared my new toys with Gus, who was very nice to me all day.

We left Auntie Kendle's and went over to Mama Burke's for more dinner! We got to visit with everyone and I got to play with Colin. We opened more presents and read some books and before we knew it, it was time to go. It was such a busy day, we came home and I went right to bed. Whew!

Meeting the Big Guy

Before Christmas, Mummy took me to meet Santa Claus. We heard that there are lots of imposters around during the holidays, but we got lucky and met The Real Santa! How do I know he's the real one? Easy! Because Coca-Cola used him for their commercials, and Coke is The Real Thing, right? He was really nice and came over to talk to me before I went to sit on his lap. Mummy made sure we were there super early to avoid as many other kids (and germs) as possible. We had to wait for a few minutes so Santa could get ready for all his visitors. The night before, lots of people brought their dogs and cats to meet Santa and there was still lots and lots of fur all over. Santa asked for his visiting area to be vacummed before greeting anyone. Mummy thinks the picture came out nice. Can you see the little bear faces on my sweater? All in all it was a very good visit. I just hope he can find our house!

'Tis the Season

Hello, Friends and Fans! I have lots to share with you from the month. First, do you like my festive holiday outfit? Auntie Kendle did it again! Mummy thinks the hat is the best part, of course. The shirt says "Good things come in small packages!" and has glitter on it, too! My Buzzy Bee shoes are a perfect match.

So now where to start? Well, I'm getting more teeth in. It's hard work pushing out those pearly whites! On a side note, I'm eating more and more grown up foods. I even tried an avacado the other day. It was really squishy so I played with it more than I ate it. I've tried pasta, little pieces of garlic bread (I already love garlic!), bits of lamb and beef, and Mummy shared some of her stew vegtables with me. Mmm!

I had my 9 month check up on December 13th. I now weigh 17 pounds (7.7 kg) and I am 29 inches (73.66 cm) tall. Still tall and skinny for my age, but the doctor said I'm recovering from the RSV very well. I had my follow up flu shot and you know what? I didnt cry at all this time! Not one bit! Mummy was so proud of me. She didnt cry this time either. I'm feeling pretty well these days. I only have to endure one breathing treatment a day now and I cant be around anybody that is sick. The doctor also said I should stay inside if it's cold, which hasnt been much of an issue aorund here!
